Kelly keeps her skin soft and wrinkle-free by staying out of the sun as much as possible. During long, outdoor photo shoots she's careful to apply SPF30, making sure not to make the common mistake of missing her ears and neck.
Kelly also uses hair products with SPF protection. Most people don't even consider the effects of UV rays on their hair, but they can easily make it dry, brittle and full of split ends.
If you don't have any SPF hair products handy, spraying on a thin layer of quick-drying sun lotion will have the same effect.
After the first time Kelly tried coconut oil to moisturize her skin, she never looked back. She finds this natural oil to be superior to all the expensive products she has tried.
Coconut oil has antioxidant properties to combats premature aging, it absorbs well into the skin and it doesn't leave any residue. Plus, if you've ever tried coconut oil on the beach, you'll know the happy feeling that this sweet-smelling natural oil leaves you with.
Coconut oil is also amazing to keep your hair healthy, shiny and strong! The oil increases circulation on the scalp, supplying nutrients to the hair follicles. Just apply it, starting from the scalp and working it out through to the ends. Massage the head for a few minutes to work the oil well into the follicles. Leave it for 1 hour, then shampoo well and condition.
Another great use for coconut oil is as a delicious, gentle exfoliant - just mix it with a little sugar and rub into your body and face.
